Dr. Joey Munoz, Ph.D.

Founder, CEO

Dr. Joey Munoz holds a Ph.D. in Nutrition Sciences from Florida State University and is the founder of Fit4Life Academy. With over a decade of experience, he has helped hundreds of individuals transform their physiques using evidence-based strategies. Passionate about debunking fitness myths, he shares science-backed insights through coaching, his podcast, and public speaking.

Outside of fitness, Joey is a proud father of two and values family above all. When he’s not coaching or training, he’s spending time with his kids and wife, diving into research, or enjoying a well-earned burger.

Bernardo Lopez, M.S.

Co-founder, Head Coach

Bernardo is the co-founder and head coach of Fit4Life Academy, holding a Master’s in Body Composition. He specializes in helping clients build muscle, lose fat, and optimize performance through an evidence-based approach. His fitness journey began with capoeira before evolving into a deep passion for strength training.

Beyond coaching, Bernardo is a dedicated father of two and prioritizes family time. When he’s not in the gym, you’ll find him with his kids, breaking down the latest fitness research, or catching a Marvel movie with his family.

Dr. Brent Momb, Ph.D.

Coach

Dr. Brent holds a Ph.D. in Muscle Biology from the University of Massachusetts and is both a researcher and a coach. As a postdoctoral fellow, he contributes to muscle growth research while helping clients achieve sustainable body composition changes through evidence-based training and nutrition. 

Brent loves experimenting with new training methods and refining strategies to help clients break through plateaus.

Ceci Gonzalez, M.S.

Coach

Ceci holds a Master’s degree in Body Composition, and certifications as a Personal Trainer. She has helped dozens of individuals improve their health and build strength with a sustainable, science-based approach.

A lifelong athlete, Ceci loves racket sports, dance, and yoga—but her true passion is strength training. Known for her warm coaching style, she makes fitness both effective and enjoyable.
